DOES YOUR FINANCIAL
PLAN MEASURE UP?

THE LIFESTYLE DESIGN PROCESS™

STEP 1 - TRACING THE SILHOUETTE

You begin by "tracing a picture" of yourself at a 90 minute Lifestyle Design Workshop™.  Like a silhouette - a term used by the apparel industry which provides an outline of the cut or shape of your clothes before any style is considered or fabric chosen - the picture shows who and what is important to you, now and in the future, and sets of your goals.

The Workshop uses several tools and resources to assist you as you participate in each step. Upon completion, you will recognize your personal profile and see what needs to be done to reach your future goals.

STEP 2 - DRAWING THE PATTERN

The shape and pattern of your life determine your custom financial plan. Together, we gather the individual facts and create a step-by-step plan based on your personal profiles:

Including financial realities, what and who you value, and the goals you have set for the future.

Your plan is a custom pattern, created for you and no one else. It not only measures what is important, but it also shows you precisely how to move forward in your particular circumstance.

STEP 3 - TRYING IT ON

Once the plan is in place, it is time to "try it on". Does it allow flexibility if circumstances change? Will it allow for adjustments along the way without losing its fit and direction? Above all, does it suit you?

At this stage, you will bring financial statements and review your progress. You also will be able to look at what investments, risk tolerance and benchmarks are working for you, and what may need alteration.

Now you have a financial plan that is tailor-made for you - styled for your needs and designed for your life.

STEP 4 - FITTING THE ACCESSORIES

Now that you have a plan that fits, there are additional resources to be considered. Some finishing details like mortgage elimination, you can see immediately, others, such as long-term care, may be not be as obvious. All are part of putting together a responsible and lasting plan.

Do you have a will? Have you considered educational saving or strategies for future health care needs? Taking care of these "financial accessories" allows you to have both the paperwork and personal commitments in place to take care of your future.

STEP 5 - ALTERATIONS AND ADJUSTMENTS

As times goes by, even the best personal financial plans must be kept up-to-date. At regular intervals, you need to revisit your personal profile, review your plan's "fit" and style, and make sure the details in place are all current and applicable to your situation.

This annual review helps you to measure your success, keep your eye on your long-term goals, and continue to shape your own future.
